Striking similarity between King and late Queen in their cake-cutting method
King Charles, who turned 77 today, visited the historic Cyfarthfa Castle near Merthyr Tydfil where he was met with a sea of umbrella covered royal fans waiting patiently in the rain to catch a glimpse of the monarch.Joined by his wife, Charles arrived at the castle to attend a celebratory reception to mark the 200th anniversary of the venue. The couple were treated to a tour of the castle, where they gazed upon a beautiful fashion design and later joined together in slicing the King's birthday cake, which was an edible replica of the building itself.Royal fans couldn't help but notice the similarities between the monarch's unconventional method for slicing cake, which, like his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, saw him sticking the knife directly into the birthday treat.
