Japan's Sakurajima erupts repeatedly sending ash 4.4km halting flights

Japan's Sakurajima volcano on Kyushu erupted several times, blasting ash and smoke 4.4km into the air in its largest eruption in nearly 13 months. Ashfall caused major travel disruption, with around 30 flights cancelled at Kagoshima Airport.
