Drunk vicar seen after crashing Bishop's car at night

Father Sion Hughes Carew is seen in video talking to police after getting out of a £50K Kia Sportage he was drunk driven and crashed into a parked car in a residential street in Lincoln. The 40-year-old was almost three times the alcohol limit at the time. He has since been disqualified from driving for two years and given costs and a fine to pay. A spokesman for the diocese of Lincoln would only say: 'A formal disciplinary process is underway for the Revd Sion Hughes Carew following his conviction for drink-driving.'In accordance with usual practice, the process is being conducted by an external bishop, outside the diocese.'The Bishop of Lincoln had no knowledge of the car being taken and did not give permission.'
