Mother spurred on to shed seven stone after looking 'fatter than Santa' in photo

A mum lost 7st on weight loss jabs after a Christmas grotto photo left her feeling 'disgusted' and looking 'fatter than Santa'. Aisling McCarthy, 43, was unable to play with her daughter Bethany, now 11, when she was first born due to her fibromyalgia and arthritis. She found herself binge eating sweet treats to cope with the 'mum guilt' she felt as a result and ballooned from 10st to 17st and a size 22 in four years. It wasn't until a family photo taken when Bethany met Santa at a Santa's Grotto made Aisling realise just how big she'd got.
