Plane makes emergency landing after passenger 'refuses to stop arguing about swapping seats'

A plane was forced to make an emergency landing when a passenger allegedly refused to stop arguing with the crew about swapping seats to be next to his girlfriend. The clingy man is said to have complained during boarding and then continued to be aggressive when the Spring Airlines flight IJ005 departed from the Narita International Airport in Japan. He wanted to change seats with another passenger - who refused - so that he could be next to his partner on Monday evening. The crew continued to explain to him that he must stay where he was for the three-hour flight, which left at 7pm. Witnesses reported that the argument between the frustrated man and the flight attendants escalated and continued for almost two hours after take-off. The pilot ultimately decided to notify the Japanese authorities, prompting the pilots to make an emergency U-turn and return to Narita - for another two hours of flying time back to its original location.
