Prince and Princess of Wales welcome President Steinmeier and his wife

The Prince and Princess of Wales have heralded the start of the first state visit by a German leader to the UK for 27 years. William and Catherine greeted President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife, Ms Büdenbender, on behalf of the King at Heathrow Airport before travelling with them to Windsor Castle .
