Activists attack Crown Jewels with apple crumble and custard at Tower of London

Activists smothered apple crumble and custard over a glass case containing the Crown Jewels inside the Tower of London , this morning.The campaigners, who have identified themselves as members of Take Back Power, then unfurled a sign saying: 'Democracy has crumbled - tax the rich'.Take Back Power said it is a nonviolent civil-resistance group demanding the UK government establishes a 'permanent citizen's assembly - a House of the People, which has the power to tax extreme wealth and fix Britain.'
