'Feral child' Genie never learnt how to speak or 'act like a human' after she was tied up and locked in a cupboard until the age of 12. The woman in now approaching her 6-th birthday, yet her fate remains uncertain.She was discovered in the 70s in a Los Angeles home. Genie has no interaction with humans and was mostly left alone in one room. When social services found her, she was uttering infantile noises.
