Hiker trapped in quicksand in Arches National Park is rescued

A man was hiking in Arches National Park, located in Utah, when he started sinking in quicksand. He activated a satellite beacon which was received by emergency responders. A park ranger, in the meantime, threw the hiker a shovel, but the quicksand came as quickly as it went. Eventually, Grand County Search and Rescue team helped get him loose from the cold quicksand using a ladder and boards.
