Police launch initiative to crackdown on crime in London hotspots

Metropolitan Police's latest anti-crime initiative is 'a return to old-fashioned policing'. The Met has launched Operation Baselife, which has seen more than 100 extra officers deployed around crime hotspots at times when offences are most likely to occur.
