Labour accused of 'complacency' after Brits fear gifting phones for Christmas

Labour is putting Christmas gifts at risk this year due to its failure to tackle Britain's phone theft epidemic, a top MP has warned. The chair of the technology committee today accused Shabana Mahmood of 'complacency' over the £70million-a-year crimewave. Dame Chi Onwurah said the Home Secretary had failed to commit to a long-promised summit with tech companies and police to address the crisis.
