Police volley tear gas at migrants launching boat near Calais. Members of the gendarmerie (French police in small towns) fired tear gas in the violent encounter which took place north of Calais, in the town of Grand-Fort-Philippe. A group of around 30 migrants pushed a dinghy down the river in the early hours of the morning.
