The 'suicide squad' bullfighters who use their bare hands to tame the beasts instead of killing them - and insist their sport is not cruel as 'we're the only ones who die'. They stand shoulder to shoulder in the sand, eight men waiting for a bull that can weigh more than a tonne and could easily kill them. There are no swords, no capes, no armour - just muscle, nerve and trust. By the time they enter the ring, the bull has already been weakened by barbed spikes driven into its shoulders - a ritual meant to drain its strength and heighten its rage.
