Illegal waste tip spews toxic fumes across the British countryside

An illegal waste tip is spewing toxic fumes across the British countryside and the Environment Agency has done nothing to stop it for seven years. The ugly site is just a two-minute walk from a farm park where children go to pet friendly llamas, goats and donkeys.It all started in 2018 when up to 50 trucks a day from all over the UK started arriving in the village of Highnam, Gloucester. Their cargo was waste plastics, building site rubble and general refuse.Since then tens of thousands of tons of rubbish have been deposited on the site between the farm park and the River Leadon, a tributary of the River Severn. Locals say it is fly tipping on an industrial scale and their complaints to the police and Environment Agency have been ignored.
