Some 12,000 fireworks went off in the first 12 minutes of 2023 at the London Eye to ring in the new year in style.Due to the pandemic it is the first time London has hosted a firework display since it celebrated the start of 2020.The display paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II, London's Pride parade, the victory of England's Lionesses in the Euros and showed solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
