Scientists study the kind and extent of microplastics plaguing British seas

The amount of microplastic found in coastal waters around the UK has increased by a hundred times since 2017, a study has found. Rowers taking part in the 2,000-mile GB Row Challenge last summer filtered plastic from the sea water.
