Spectacular river in Peruvian mountains runs red during the rainy season

Spectacular river in Peru runs red for the majoirity of the year. The aptly named 'Red River' is in the Vilcanota mountain range, and the unusual phenomenon occurs due to red sandstone in the region mixing with the water when it rains.
