Great North Run participants forced to walk back due to flooding halt transport
Heavy rain has caught the Great North Run participants from Newcastle to South Shields. A yellow thunderstorm warning covering Northern Ireland, large parts of northern England and Wales as well as southern Scotland has been issued by the Met Office.
