Record-breaking September heatwave pushes into its seventh day this Sunday

The UK has now sweltered through six days of temperatures above 30C this month. It is the first time since 1911 that the UK's maximum temperature has exceeded 30C for more than three days.Yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far.
