Putin says that 'did not start the war in Ukraine' and is 'trying to end it'
President Vladimir Putin blamed Western hegemony for starting the war in Ukraine in a ranting anti-US speech during the Valdai political forum in the Black Sea resort of Sochi. According to him, Russians 'are trying to finish it'.
