2001: Prince Andrew announces retirement from Navy on aircraft carrier

The Duke of York announced his retirement from the Royal Navy in 2001 aboard the now-decommissioned aircraft carrier Ark Royal. He said he had 'thoroughly enjoyed myself' over the 22 years of his service.
