Officials meet in Belarus for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia

Officials from both Russia and Ukraine have met in Gomel, Belarus to begin peace talks, despite Ukraine's president declining the invitation. The meeting took place on the border with Belarus, ho isa key ally of Putin.
