3.5 million people living in a district of Beijing subjected to mass testing

From today, mass testing has been mandated for almost 3.5 million people living in the Chaoyang district of Beijing which is home to many embassies and multinational companies. This sparked a wave of panic-buying amid fears of a new Covid lockdown.
