Simon Lightwood becomes Wakefield MP as Labour reclaim Red Wall seat

Labour's Simon Lightwood has been elected as the new MP for Wakefield by a margin of almost 5,000 votes over the Conservative candidate. He declared his victory as the 'birth of the next Labour government'.
