Police officers forced to smash window after dog left inside car during heatwave

Footage showed officers having smashed through the window of a vehicle parked at the side of the road in Leicester Square yesterday afternoon as temperatures reached nearly 40C. Members of the public called 999 as the spotted the dog the car.
