Britons are abandoning pets as cost-of-living soars says pet centre

In this video, Steve Craddock, who manages the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in southwest London has said because of the budding recession, people no longer have the financial means to look after their pets so they are seeing more numbers than usual.
