Scientists are puzzled by concentric ripples around star

This image, captured by the James Webb telescope and shared on Twitter on Aug. 29, shows star WR140. The "red, curvy-yet-boxy stuff is real," says European Space Agency scientist Mark McCaughrean, but the "blue structure" is from optical diffraction.
