Network Rail warns: Strikes are never going to result in better pay offer.

Network Rail is accusing unions of ignoring a pay rise proposal submitted last July. The proposal included pay rises of a 4 per cent over two consecutive years, plus a 75 per cent discount for the Network Rail. Unions deemed the offer as a pay cut.
