Met Office forecasts strong winds and heavy rain for many across the country

A band of wind and rain is moving across the country bringing some heavy showers and gusty winds as it reaches the southeast this evening. Met office's Aidan McGivern said that there would be a spell of 'strong winds and heavy rain' for many today.
