Bells at Vatican City toll as former Pope Benedict dies aged 95

Former Pope Benedict died aged 95 in the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery in the Vatican after years of fragile health. Joseph Ratzinger stepped down as a Pope in 2013 becoming the first pope since the Middle Ages to resign as head of the Catholic Church.
