Huge column of smoke rises into the skies over Sicily as Mount Etna erupts

Footage shows an enormous column of smoke and ash rising into the sky over Sicily following a huge eruption of Mount Etna. Authorities in Italy are monitoring the situation, but have made it clear that nearby towns are not at risk from the event.
