Home in Erdington engulfed in flames after resident left lit candles unattended

A flat's resident in Erdington lit tealights on a shelf in memory of a relative at hishome and unwisely popped out. Just ten minutes later, his home was ablaze and he returned to find nearly a dozen West Midlands firefighters tackling the flames.
