Matthew Rycroft insisted that migrants 'pushback' tactics can be legal

MP Tim Loughton asked the committee whether the tactic would make a 'meaningful difference'. In reply Home Office chief Matthew Rycroft insisted there was a 'legal base' for the manoeuvre to be carried out in 'certain limited circumstances'.
