Mars will be blacked out for two weeks as it passes behind the sun

From the 2nd of October, Mars will be on the other side of the sun for two weeks. This means signals between the two planets can be disrupted, causing a two-week blackout for NASA's various landers, rovers and orbiters on or at the red planet.
