Shout of 'object' delays bid to scrap controversial standards reforms for MPs

An attempt to scrap the controversial standards reforms that sparked Westminster's sleaze row has been blocked by a Conservative MP. Veteran Tory Christopher Chope was seen to shout "object" in the Commons chamber from the Tory benches.
