Jonathan Van-Tam admits Omicron variant is of 'heightened concern'

All Britons over the age of 18 were today made eligible for Covid booster vaccines as ministers try to shield against an incoming wave of the Omicron variant. Some 19million people aged 18 to 39 will be able to come forward for their third dose.
