South African professor: Omicron curve much steeper and reinfection rate up

The director of the Africa Health Research Institute, Professor Willem Hanekom delivered grim news on the spread of the Omicron variant. He said data suggested the virus was "spreading very fast" in South Africa and the reinfection rate was higher.
