'It was a violent shaking': Tokyo resident describes earthquake as it hit Toyama City

Tokyo resident Daniel Smith was visiting a shrine in Toyama City when a series of strong earthquakes struck western coast of Japan. The quakes, the largest of which had a magnitude of 7.6, started a fire and collapsed buildings.
