Home Office minister Chris Philp has rejected suggestions that Tory rebels only voted for the Rwanda Bill to avoid a look of disunity ahead of the election.It was put to him that his colleagues had ultimately supported the Government's legislation because they did not want a "bad look" ahead of the vote expected in the second half of 2024.
