Half term hot spell! 'Exceptionally mild' weather as temperatures hit 18C

Met Office forecasts a drier and brighter day in the lead up to the weekend, but warns of heavy rains in the evening. The most persistent rain is expected in the Midlands, with possibility of water flooding some roads.
