Sudden heavy rainfall forces commuters to push car out of waterlogged street

Thunderstorms hit England last night and New Addington in South London saw yesterday's heaviest downpour with 53mm (2.1in) of rain in an hour. The Environment Agency had imposed 26 flood alerts across England this morning.
