Walz gives thumbs up as he departs for debate against Vance

Democrat Tim Walz and Republican JD Vance face off in New York in the only scheduled U.S. vice presidential debate, a chance for each candidate to reinforce his running mate's message to voters just weeks before the Nov. 5 election.
