Sports broadcaster Gary Lineker will step down as host of Match Of The Day at the end of the season, but will continue to present coverage of the FA Cup in 2025/26 and the World Cup in 2026, the BBC has confirmed. The 63-year-old former England striker and the corporation have "agreed in principle a contract extension through to the 2026 World Cup", the corporation said.
