Attorney: Couple thought they could trust Monsanto

An Oakland <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2019/05/13/health/monsanto-roundup-cancer-verdict-bn/index.html" target="_blank">jury handed down a verdict awarding $2.055 billion</a> to Alva and Alberta Pilliod, who say their non-Hodgkin lymphoma was caused by long-term exposure to <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2019/03/20/health/monsanto-verdict-federal/index.html" target="_blank">Monsanto's weed killer, Roundup</a>, according to a statement provided by the plaintiffs' team of attorneys.
