"I have a plan for everything," Trump told the New York Post in an interview Monday, referencing the surge in oil prices. "You'll be very happy." Trump also discussed Iran with Russian President Vladimir Putin in their first phone talk this year. Trump said he could waive "certain oil-related sanctions to reduce prices" but didn't offer additional specifics beyond acknowledging he had discussed the topic with Putin.
