Bredene beach bars introduce return deposit on bottles and cans in pilot project | VRT NWS: news

Three beach bars in the coastal resort of Bredene are introducing a return deposit on plastic bottles and cans in the coming month. It is a pilot project, as there is no such deposit yet in Flanders, but if it turns out to work, the Bredene mayor wants to up the pressure on the Flemish government to introduce a general deposit to counter the problem of litter in our natural environment.
