Over 10,000 children involved in reports about child abuse, a new milestone | VRT NWS: news

The so-called "Vertrouwenscentra Kindermishandeling" (VK), places were people can share condifential concerns about child abuse, received 7,535 reports last year. These involve a total of 10,070 youngsters, a 5-percent rise on the year. It's the first time that the threshold of 10,000 is exceeded, but experts also see the positive side of things.
