The number of day-trippers that visited the coastal resorts of West Flanders during July is up 25% on July last year. Figures released by the West Flemish tourist board Westtoer show that with two days of the month still to go 2.3 million day-trippers have visited the West Flemish coast this month. Westtoer’s figures are based on mobile phone data. The number of tourists staying at the coast overnight is also up this month compared with July 2021.
