Drunken French motorist causes gas leak after collision in Mesen | VRT NWS: news

A drunk driver from across the border in France caused the evacuation of the centre of Flanders’ smallest city on Saturday. The inebriated motorist crashed into the front of a house rupturing a gas meter. Although no one was injured in the incident, the resulting gas leak meant that the centre of Mesen was evacuated while the gas infrastructure management company Fluvius repaired the leak.
