It was suddenly very busy indeed on the forecourt of a filling station in the East Flemish city of Sint-Niklaas on Wednesday evening. A photograph that had been posted on social media appeared to show that the filling station on the city’s Begijnenstraat was selling Euro 95 petrol at just 1.129 euro per litre. Hoping to fill up their tanks with cut-price petrol motorists flocked there in their droves.
